The Kawawii Nomination Awards
Ever since I was little, I had a passion for entertainment. So, I created The Kawawii Nomination Awards. As those years have now passed, I‘d like to show you what it was all about, how it came to be, and how it endeavored through the years. It all started with an idea to promote an awards show, as I found that it would be more family friendly, and something fun and entertaining for everyone else alike. I had attempted many times to conjure up some form of entertainment through my years growing up, and settled on the award/performance type of entertainment. The name Kawawii Nomination Awards came from the fictional island from a popular video game I enjoyed playing as a kid. The structure of these shows started with the contestants, and those attending. Contestants would nominate certain characteristics in voting polls, and awards were given based on those categories. The whole thing started small, however lasted every summer for five consecutive years. That’s five shows total. The year that the second show was held, I had made the decision to not plan any shows post 2013. We had only held two by that time. I had wanted to make this decision due to me not feeling very creative, and thinking that those attending weren’t interested in this kind of entertainment anymore. Instead, everyone insisted on a continuation, and so the show continued for three more years. In fact, more and more people started to have a continued interest for the show as the years went on. The show became more technical, and garnered more features and entertainment which was in my opinion very improving to and for the show. The very last year of the show was compiled up of everything we’ve done in past shows including photo, and video footage from the very first year.
Regular awards were given to every attendee that year, and were red in color.
Favorite awards were given to attendees who won the minor categories in the voting polls, and were blue in color.
Special awards were given to attendees who won the major big-box categories in the voting polls, and were green in color.
This archive covers ground on everything that happened in these five shows, and the performances they featured.

2012
The very first Kawawii Nomination Awards show was held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 on the garage-front. This was the very first show to debut the trampoline stunt jump. This was inspired by a tour I had seen by a favorite band of mine at the time. I used that idea intertwined with the awards portion of the show. The stage was decorated with a draped blue and tan backdrop. A single trampoline and podium were used. Three cover performances were given, and awards for three categories were given. The Regular awards, Favorite award, and Special award. These awards were comprised of cardboard wrapped in white duct tape with the attendees name and other notable mention. The show commenced at 8:00PM and concluded by 9:00PM. The show was an hour long.
